Barbershop baffled by break-in

The OPP is investigating a break and enter at a barbershop on Gibson Street.

The West Parry Sound OPP says it happened shortly before 6:00am on Sunday.

A suspect(s), gained entry into the business through a locked front door, stole a small quantity of cash and was seen leaving the business.

Constable Miles Loach told the My Parry Sound Now Newsroom that the landlord was opening up the laundromat next door when they noticed obvious signs of damage to the front door and called police.

Barbershop owner, Scott Howarth, said he’s been at this location for nearly ten years, and though break-ins to his business and personal property are not new for him, he has never faced a problem at this location.

The barbershop on Gibson Street remains closed today and business owner, Scott Howarth, cleans-up after a weekend break-in.

The suspect is described as approximately five foot five inches tall wearing dark clothing with a backpack.

Any person with information about this incident should call the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
