There are several candidates running for re-election across the Parry Sound district. Mayors that are seeking re-election include Parry Sound Mayor Jamie McGarvey, McDougall mayor Dale Robinson, and McKellar reeve Peter Hopkin. Councillors seeking re-election include Seguin councillor Dale Graves, McDougall councillor Kim Dixon and Archipelago councillor Tom Lundy. There are some newcomers: Ann MacDiarmid is running for mayor of Seguin, Art Coles is running for councillor in Seguin and Laurie Emery is running for councillor in Archipelago The municipal election is on October 22nd.
