Taffy pull comes to Machar-South River

The cold temperatures last week won’t stop the South River-Machar Agricultural Society’s Taffy Pull.
The annual event is taking place this weekend at the McLaren Farm on Bunker Hill Road.
The McLarens, hosts of the event and maple syrup makers, can’t guarantee they’ll be using freshly harvested maple syrup.
But they can say for sure that there will be plenty of taffy.
There will also be an egg toss event and wagon rides.
