Lightning is suspected to be the cause of the recent house fires in the area this past weekend. A lightning strikes path is from the cloud to the ground. Most houses are filled with several routes for the bolts to hit during its journey. Environment Canada Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Geoff Coulson says some of these objects are inside your home.
If you suspect your house has been hit by lightning, Coulson says get out of the home immediately and call 911.
