Family Concert – Whispering River Orchestra

Whispering River Community Orchestra is proud to announce the inaugural concert of their First Annual concert series. This family friendly, one hour concert is a celebration of a new inter-arts work of Canadian music and film, inspired by the work of iconic McKellar artist, the late Bert Weir, and includes much-loved concert music for string and chamber orchestra.

This concert will feature the World Premier of Alan Torok’s Morning at the Bushwall, composed specifically for community orchestra and based on Bert Weir’s group of eleven paintings entitled Bushwall Series. A short film based on these paintings, also created by Alan Torok, who is an acclaimed visual artist as well as a composer, is an integral part of the premier.

Tickets are available online at, at the door or by calling 705 996 0736. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
