This weekend marks the 18th annual Shawanaga First Nation Pow Wow. The event will be officially opened on Friday night at 6, with most of the activities happening on Saturday and Sunday. This year’s theme is “ Re-Igniting The Fire Within Us”. Host drum is Bear Creek, and head dancers are Nathalie Restoule and Jordan Mowat. Grand entry will happen at noon both Saturday and Sunday with the Saturday evening session starting at 7:00 p.m. The Community Feast is at 5:00 p.m on Saturday.
