Portion of Parry Sound fitness trail closed due to nearby construction

The fitness trail between Salt Dock Road and Waubeek Street, located above the Water Treatment Plant, is closed effectively immediately.

That’s according to Town of Parry Sound officials, who say the closure to accommodate work on the water treatment plant roof.

The Town is spending more than $686,000 to replace the leaky roof, after staff discovered water intrusion in the plant last year.

According to officials, the closure is expected to remain in place until Sept. 30. The remainder of the fitness trail will remain accessible to all trail users.
