The Champagne Street Boat Launch and parking area in Parry Sound will remained closed for 2026.

Officials say, for the safety of the public and construction staff, the boat launch and parking area must remain closed for the duration of the project.
Residents are advised to use the Salt Dock boat launch and parking lot, in the meantime. Overnight parking at the Salt Docks will be permitted on a temporary basis throughout the duration of the Champagne street project, with a valid overnight parking permit.
According to municipal officials, the reconstruction of the Champagne Street sanitary pumping station will expand the town’s sanitary capacity, allowing for the development of approximately 2,500 new homes.
