Mission Street Park ‘ninja course’ now open

Another revitalized playground is open and ready to welcome kids.

Parry Sound officials unveiled the newly installed Mission Street Park ninja course on Aug. 11.

The renovation is part of a $750,000 project to overhaul five parks across town. Renovations at all five of those parks – Waubuno Beach, William, Cherry, Booth and Mission Street – are now complete.

The town received a $500 thousand dollars grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Corporation. The difference will be covered with funds allocated in the 2024 capital budget.

Officials say the installation of a fitness circuit on the fitness trail was anticipated to begin the week of Aug. 11 to 15.
