New playground at Waubuno Beach opens to public

The brand new playground at Waubuno Beach Park is now open.

Town officials announced the grand re-opening on June 27, and noted that the new playground at William Street Park is also nearly complete.

Parks and recreation staff will now turn their attention to Cherry Street Park, which will be closed as of June 27 for equipment removal.

The park upgrades are part of a nearly $750,000 playground replacement project.

Once the revitalization of Cherry Street Park is complete, staff will move to Booth Street and Mission Park, before finishing up with the Waterfront Trail workout stations.
