Local aspiring artists have the opportunity to win a new guitar and lessons with a local instructor through the Dreamin’ of Nashville program.
The program was created in memory of Midland resident Alan Copegog to pass along his love of music. Copegog died suddenly in 2020 and his family has created this program as a way to honour him.
Program coordinators are currently seeking nominations. Youth in the Georgian Bay area, including Parry Sound, Midland, Orillia, Barrie, Wasaga Beach and surrounding communities are eligible.
Nominated can be sent in by email to dreamin[email protected]. The deadline for nominations is June 30.
A memorial golf tournament and banquet scheduled for July 6 will generate the funds to support the program.
