A Parry Sound woman hit a million-dollar jackpot on Encore in the April 12 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Karen Chegahno, a 67-year-old mother and grandmother, says she checked the ticket at the store at first and didn’t believe it, thinking it was $1,000 win.
Chegahno says she always plays the same numbers and always says yes to ENCORE. She says she told her daughters about her win right away. “They’re so happy for me,” she said.
According to OLG, Chegahno plans to help her children and plan some family vacations. “The feeling hasn’t hit me yet – it’s an unbelievable thing,” she added.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pioneer on Bowes Street in Parry Sound.
