Nominations are closed and voting has wrapped up for the Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Business Excellence Awards.
The annual award gala is our Chamber’s way of celebrating our region’s businesses, both old and new.
This year, the Excellence Awards will be presented aboard the Island Queen on Friday, September 23 from 5 to 8 pm.
This year’s awards include Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Community Spirit and many more.
Christy Cafovski, Executive Director at the Chamber, says it’s been a record turnout in terms of voting.
“We had more than 600 individual votes in each category this year,” she says. “So it’s sort of unprecedented. We’re proud of the progress we’ve had. The sense of community pride is definitely there in Parry Sound.”
Cafovski says that they’re currently tallying votes and the top three finalists from every category will be shared with the winner announced at the gala.
“We’re really excited. […] We have our caterer picked out, awards are already on order and well on their way,” she says. “We hope we’re going to have the best turnout we’ve had yet.”
