The West Parry Sound Campus of Canadore College is welcoming its first cohort from overseas this fall.
Campus Supervisor, Lee-Ann Turner says as the international community grows so does the interest of international students to come to Parry Sound.
She says the influx of international students is a boon to the economies, allowing the college to help with the region’s nursing and health care shortages.
Turner says more than 30 international students are enrolled in the Practical Nursing and Healthcare Administration programs.
