Seguin Township is following in Parry Sound’s footsteps with a new “Honour Our Veterans” Banner Program.
The initiative was brought forth by Seguin resident, Craig Finnson, together with the Rosseau Community Action Committee as a means to pay tribute to local veterans.
In a release sent last week, Seguin officials say this program will be an ongoing legacy project that will encompass communities throughout the township.
Through the displaying of the banners, officials hope to engage the community in honouring and remembering local veterans through an initiative that will ensure continued recognition throughout future generations.
The deadline for this year is September 24 in order for the banners to be erected by the end of October 2021.
