COVID-19: Three new cases, one more hospitalized from Parry Sound Thursday

The local health unit added three new cases of COVID-19 and no recoveries from Parry Sound today(Thursday) pushing the district to seven active cases. 

One more Parry Sound resident was admitted to the hospital because of COVID-19, with two locals now in the hospital from Parry Sound. 

In Nipissing, one new case was reported pushing that district to nine active cases.

The last 24 hours saw another 107 tests for COVID-19 done just in Parry Sound and over 18 hundred vaccine doses given to residents by the health unit.

As of this afternoon, more than 40 thousand North Bay Parry Sound residents have received their first shot of a vaccine, which is a little short of 40 percent of adults in our region. 

And starting tomorrow(Friday), residents in our area born in 1966 or before will be able to book an appointment at a local COVID-19 vaccine clinic
