Parry Sound’s new K to 12 school is set to open its doors by September 2023.
An update on the highly anticipated super school was provided in last week’s Near North District School Board meeting.
The board provided a schedule that would see the demolition of a small portion of the school this summer, in preparation for new construction beginning March 2022
Acting Superintendent Gay Smylie said the board’s project team met with the Ventin Group architects and established the basic criteria for the new school.

He said that included the project schedule as well as conceptual site and floor plans.
Smylie confirmed that conceptual plans are being refined, with a design report expected to be presented at the board’s next meeting in May.
