No change to Parry Sound’s COVID-19 active case count Tuesday

The local health unit reported no new COVID-19 cases or recoveries from Parry Sound on Tuesday keeping us at three active cases.

In Nipissing, one recovery and one case were added keeping that district at eight active cases.

The new case, currently self-isolating, is a 20 to 39-year old associated with an outbreak.

Tuesday’s case marks the 300th cumulative case to be identified in the North Bay Parry Sound District.

The health unit also reported one more person tested positive for a variant of concern from Parry Sound.

Over the long weekend, 1,208 vaccines were administered and 126 tests for COVID were done in our district.
