70+ now eligible to book COVID-19 vaccine appt. through Provincial booking system

Ontario extended booking for COVID-19 vaccinations through its provincial booking system to more age groups in ten public health units today, including our own.

As of this morning, booking eligibility at mass immunization clinics will extend to individuals aged 70 and over in the North Bay Parry Sound District. 

As of March 31st, over 81 percent of Ontario residents aged 80 and over have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than half of residents aged 75 to 79 have now received their first shot.

In our region, a total of 17,596 vaccines have been administered with just under a thousand done on Thursday. 

Over 15,000 individuals received the first shot of a vaccine and over 1600 received both and are fully vaccinated in the NBPS District.
