Extended-William Street temporarily closed from Farrer to Cherry due to work on CN rail

Update from Town of Parry Sound on March 24th; CN Rail will be conducting scheduled work for an additional two weeks:

This will result in the closure of William Street between Farrer Street and Cherry Street from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM March 24th to the 31st and April 7th to the 14th.

William Street will be temporarily closed between Farrer and Cherry because of work being done on the CN rail over the next couple of months.

The section will be closed from noon to five PM on Tuesday and from seven AM to five PM on Wednesday.

Following this week, it’ll be closed seven AM to five PM on the 10th to the 17th, 24th to March 3rd, and then March 10th to the 17th.

Detour signs for full road closure will be posted and residents that live in the closure area will have access to their driveways.

Residents are also asked to continue placing waste curbside at the end of driveways on regular collection days and CN staff will move the waste to ensure collection.

Pedestrians as well are advised to take caution while passing through the closure area.
