6:45 a.m. Hammond 548 and 543 serving the Mactier, Humphrey and Rosseau corridor are cancelled. Hammond 520 is experiencing a partial service interruption (it serves Mactier Public School)
Mactier Public School is closed for the day.
Yesterday’s windstorm which saw gusts as high as 100 kilometres per hour have left some 5,000 customers in the West Parry Sound region still without power.
Most of the incidents are still “being assessed”.
The few that do have estimated times of restoration are being told mid-afternoon to early this evening.
Outages in East Parry Sound in areas such as along the 124 corridor, South River are looking at between noon and 4 p.m. The damaging winds are expected to lessen throughout the morning.
