Suspects sought after wounding bear cub

WHITESTONE, ON-The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking for the publics’ help finding the people responsible for shooting and wounding a bear cub.

Occurring in Whitestone, on August 13th, Conservation Officers responded to a complaint about the shooting of a female bear cub on Whitestone Lake Road and Finn Road.

The MNRF believes the people involved shot the cub with a small calibre firearm, resulting in the animal sustaining serious injuries between the dates of August 10th and the 12th.
