There will be no heralding in the weekend with fireworks as the “fire danger rating” throughout West Parry Sound has been raised to “high”.
Generally, a high rating means no household fireworks, daytime burning is not permitted, and fire permits are
suspended. Some Municipalities have slightly different restrictions so consult with them before you light. Campfires
for cooking and warmth are still allowed.
These restrictions will remain in effect through June 24th.
