The 6th annual “Curlers Care” Bonspiel is this weekend at the Parry Sound Curling Club.
The bonspiel raises funds for military families and this year additional events will raise funds for the Parry Sound District E.M.S. peer support group.
Friday night’s silent auction and beer and wings night will see funds going to the peer group.
Bonspiel organizer Ray Pavlov says that organizers have seen tremendous support throughout the community with people saying that they want to let the military, E.M.S. O.P.P and firefighters that they stand behind them.
Some 40 teams will participate on Saturday in a two four format which lends well to all skill levels.
The public is encouraged to attend all weekend, Friday night and all-day Saturday.
