Goalie Assist Program helps Parry Sound Hockey Club

Parry Sound Hockey Club is one of 55 organizations in Ontario to receive a set of brand new goalie equipment.  The equipment was donated as part of the Goalie Assist Program, a partnership between the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association as well as the Northern Ontario Minor Hockey Association.  The Parry Sound Hockey Club received their set earlier this year which included a blocker, glove, pads, a chest protector, stick, and bag.  The Goalie Assist Program is an effort to support children who have dreams of becoming a hockey goaltender, by providing a set of hockey goaltending equipment to 5‐7 year old players interested in trying the position.  This program also helps the local Minor Hockey Associations by providing them with goaltender resources to assist their coaches and in providing these young goalies with the best coaching available.
