PARRY SOUND, ON- The risk of fire is going up in Parry Sound.
According to a notice from the West Parry Sound Fire Region, the fire risk level has been raised to High across the entire region. With that elevation, fire permits have been suspended, and all fireworks are suspended.
Campfires for warmth and cooking are still allowed.
Residents and visitors should check with the local municipal authourities for allowable burning in specific areas.
