A group of concerned citizens is holding a meeting tonight at 6:30 at “The Hub” on Gibson Street to discuss protecting educational opportunities for ALL students in West Parry Sound.
The group hopes to hear perspectives from both parents and students regarding items like Mental Health and Special Needs, Indigenous studies, on-line courses and courses at risk.
The meeting was organized before it was learned that 8 local teachers at Parry Sound High School were losing their jobs at the end of the school year and follows the announcements of cuts to education in the District and across the Province.
