ARCHIPELAGO TOWNSHIP, ON – There has been a fatal crash in Archipelago Township.
West Parry Sound OPP responded to the call just after 8:00pm last night after a tractor-trailer hit a rock cut and caught fire. It happened near Flicker Road on Highway 69.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The highway was closed until just after 5:00am this morning as OPP Technical Collision Investigators analyzed the scene.
Traffic had been diverted along highway 529 during the closure.
