PARRY SOUND, ON- The Town of Parry Sound is celebrating a recent business trip to the area by a delegation of Chinese businesspeople from the Greater Toronto Area.
According to a town announcement, the delegation included seven executives from six different companies, which worked in areas like the beverage industry, senior home management, immigration consultancy, real estate brokerage and student exchange programs.
The aim was to educate them, as representatives of the GTA’s roughly 600,000 strong Chinese community, about the oppourtunities in town for any businesses thinking about relocating or starting-up.
They went to Canadore College, local companies, the Parry Sound Area Industrial Park and the airport business park.
The town said that they were “very impressed” with the local hospitality, by the end.
“It was a very productive visit,” said Ms. Linbo Yan, an immigration agent, in the town’s announcement.
“All our delegates left impressed with the variety and quality of companies operating in Parry Sound. We are especially interested to develop opportunities in the hospitality sector, practical nursing and personal support workers student exchange programs with Canadore College, as well as investment in business development at the two business parks in the area.
