Parry Sound Public School’s soil is safe.
Some sort of oily material was discovered on a grassy section of the school’s playground earlier this week.
That prompted school officials to rope the area off until the film, which had formed on top of standing water, could be analyzed.
The Ministry of the Environment’s Spills Action Centre was notified. Samples were taken and the test results show that the substance is naturally-occurring and poses no risk.
