As flood waters inundate properties and roads throughout the region, the Municipality of Magnetawan is doing its best to keep on top of the situation.
Residents looking to sandbag their properties will find a sand pile at 81 Albert Street across from the Fire Hall daily from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. where they can fill bags.
The first 10 bags are free with a 10 cent charge for additional bags.
The Municipality has updated the list of roads that are affected by the flooding and they include River Road which is closed.
The Township of Ryerson is reporting the following road closures:
- East Road is Closed From Oke Dr. to Hill and Gully Rd.
- Peggs Mountain Rd. is closed. Detour to Magnetawan on Hwy. 520, ON Nipissing Rd. South to Midlothian Rd. E. , Starratt Rd. South to Royston Rd
- Midlothian Road (east side of the bridge) is closed now at civic #573 to #870 Detour 520 to Magnetawan to  Nipissing Rd. South to Midlothian Rd.
