The Near North District School Board is holding an information session on its new French Immersion program. It’s going to be offered at Parry Sound Public School starting with the upcoming school year.
The information session will cover things like the board’s plan to implement the program, a presentation on the French Immersion and Extended French programs which includes a short classroom experience video, an overview of the benefits of learning French as a second language, and the opportunity to register for the program.
The board says all eligible students from the Parry Sound area entering first or second year of Kindergarten or Grade 1 may register for the French Immersion Program. The information session is happening on Monday at 6:00pm in the Parry Sound Public School Gymnasium.
