The hold and secures at five area schools have been lifted.
McDougall Public School, Parry Sound High School, Parry Sound Public School, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, and Nobel Public School all went into hold and secure as the West Parry Sound OPP started a search for a suspect who officers believed had fled a traffic stop around noon today.
The OPP says the search began because the two suspects who were arrested said there was a third person in the vehicle. The OPP now believes there never was a third suspect.
The students at each school will be leaving at their normals dismissal times.
