A review of the District EMS will be held to find any efficiencies to help serve the area better. Director of Emergency Services for the Town of Parry Sound, Dave Thompson explained to council that the organization contracted to do the review will look at both quantitative and qualitative data from 2011 to the end of 2013. Thompson says the quantitative part of the review will look at number of calls, the location of the calls, and what type of calls they were while the qualitative part is a little more in depth.

The organization approved to complete the review at last night’s meeting has yet to do a review of this area and Thompson believes it will be good to get a “fresh set of eyes” on the issues of service delivery in the District of Parry Sound.
