West Parry Sound Health looking for LEGO

Do you have LEGO sitting around your house gathering dust?

The West Parry Sound Health Center Emergency Department has a patient project planned for the waiting room and it is looking for donations of LEGO and ‘Master Builders’. The LEGO will be used as a display and a “find the object” game for children or adults to help pass time in the waiting room. Once the hospital gathers enough LEGO, it will call upon community youth to build the display.

“We’re building this under plexiglass so it will not be a choking hazard or a sterility concern,” said Julia Sek, Manager of Emergency Department.

WPSHC says it is hoping to have the display in place by September and donations are being accepted now.

No matter the quantity, every brick counts. Project inquiries can be sent to Julia Sek or Cara Rankin in the Emergency Department.
