Members from the Youth Action Committee of Parry Sound are sending surveys to local businesses.
The survey is in reference to student jobs throughout the school year and during the summer months. Part-time jobs for students are extremely helpful as they lead to many future opportunities. Summer and part-time employment help students save for post-secondary education costs. Most students are unsure of which businesses to apply to, what a job will entail, or if a company is even hiring.
YAC hopes this survey will encourage employment for students now and in the future. When local businesses complete this survey, it will help students better understand their options of workplaces and find a company that fits student and business’ needs best.
The results of the survey will be posted at the Parry Sound High School for students to review which will help students to know which job opportunities may best suit them, and ensuring businesses receive applications from qualified and informed applicants which could lead to a greater employee success rate.
