Salvation Army benefits all year from Moose FM radiothon

It’s not just for Christmas.

The annual Moose FM radiothon helps people all year long. Lt. Scott Allen of The Salvation Army says this initiative benefits communities as far north as Britt, as far south as MacTier and as far east as Sundridge not just at Christmas time, but the entire year.

The Salvation Army supports a number of community aids including short-term housing, food supply, senior and children support, among a number of community response initiatives.

“We have a lot of partnerships with various organizations and we’re so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful partnerships with organizations here in Parry Sound. It’s just amazing to have a partnership with Moose FM to do the radiothon for us, and for you to take two days out of your programming schedule to do this is just amazing and we are so thankful,” Allen said.

The annual radiothon begins tomorrow at 7:00am and will end at 6:00pm on Friday.  Last year’s Christmas raised $35,150.
