The West Parry Sound OPP says it’s proud to welcome the OPP Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Team.
Each year they tour Ontario giving exhibitions of their riding skills at fairs, festivals and parades. The 20 motorcycles used by the Golden Helmets are Harley Davidson Police Specials. These motorcycles are the same ones used on normal patrol.
During each 30-minute performance, the riders take their machines through a series of complex patterns, which are intended to demonstrate the manoeuvrability of the machines and the rider’s skills. The OPP Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Team will perform on downtown James Street this Saturday, September 15th at 1:30pm.
Drivers keep in mind the performance will mean a road closure that day. Starting at 8:00am parking will not be permitted on James Street from Seguin Street to Rosetta Street. During the performance, James Street will be closed from Seguin to Rosetta.
