With kids heading back to school in just a few weeks the Parry Sound Salvation Army is asking for your help. The organization needs donations for its school supply drive.
The Salvation Army says some children will be heading back to class without a backpack or other necessary supplies, and it doesn’t want that to happen. All school supply donations are welcome but items that are most needed include glue sticks, crayons, rulers, pens, erasers, pencil cases, lunch bags, and high school math sets.
The donations will be distributed to families throughout the West Parry Sound area. According to The Salvation Army, over 650 children in West Parry Sound live at or below the poverty level. Donations can be dropped off at its office at 61 Gibson Street in Parry Sound.
