Smoke From Parry 33 Fire Causing Pollution and Breathing Issues

A warning about poor air quality and reduced visibility has been issued in the immediate area of the Parry 33 fire north of Parry Sound.

Environment Canada issued the warning early Sunday, stating that “High levels of air pollution have developed due to smoke from forest fires.”

The alert goes on to warn that individuals may have increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath.

Special attention should be paid to, “children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk.”
