The Parry Sound 33 fire has grown nearly ten times from its original 500-hectare size, ballooning to 4,800 hectares as of Saturday.
Isabelle Chenard with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests says this is a very active fire.
Key River and Key Harbour have been evacuated with the Ontario Provincial Police and Conservation Officers helping residents get out safely.
It has now been confirmed that the fire started on the south side of the Key River and now spread to the north side into French River Provincial Park.

Chenard reports there has been a concentrated use of water bombers on the fire.
There is no prediction on when the fire will get under control.
