The annual “Joe’s Team” Triathlon/Duathlon takes place on Saturday at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. Over 500 participants and volunteers have registered for this year’s event. Joe’s Team sprint triathlon fundraises for The Princess Margaret Hospital, has raised more than $9 million dollars through the triathlon and related Joe Finley Fund donations in just a few short years. Created by cancer patient Joe Finley, who completed his first triathlon following invasive chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Joe’s Team benefits the Head and Neck Translational Research Program at The Princess Margaret. Races start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
