Parry Sound will have a housing summit

Mayor Jamie McGarvey announced at last night’s council meeting that there will be a local housing summit starting at the end of July. McGarvey says with new businesses looking to hire, employees need housing:

McGarvey says MPP Norm Miller, MP Tony Clement, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, as well as contractors and developers need to be involved in the discussion. He says they need to collectively be one voice:

Councillor Paul Borneman put forward the motion for the housing summit. Borneman, McGarvey and Miller have cited housing as a key concern for Parry Sound.
