The Town of Parry Sound received a special award this morning, a 5-year recognition award for maintaining its blue flag status. Ontario environmental commissioner Dianne Saxe visited Waubuno beach. She says, she is pleased with how the beach is being kept.
Saxe says while the community has done well, there are still many environmental concerns to be addressed.
Saxe says Waubuno is a wonderful place to visit and is exemplary of what a shoreline should look like.
