Changes have been approved by council to the cemetery by-laws for Hillcrest and Sylvan Acres cemeteries. The Town of Parry Sound reviewed its cemetery by-laws and made some changes to include regulations surrounding three columbarium being installed and will be submitting them for approval to the Registrar of the Ministry of Consumer Services, Cemeteries Regulations Unit. The by-laws approved by council on Tuesday night will not be effective until approval is received from the Registrar. The amended bylaws can be found on the towns website and anyone interested wishing to make written comment on the amendments can do so until July 18th by contacting Ann Hurdman at the town office.
