You’ll soon be able to surf the internet while enjoying Market Square Park. Last night, council approved to have Vianet Internet Solutions install, manage, and maintain wireless internet service in the Park for a two year period. It’ll cost the town $1500 which will cover set-up costs, radios, antennas, hotspot hardware and software, cabling and installation services. The town will also provide use of Town’s yard space to store up to 6 pick-up trucks and trailers, a 40′ shipping container, and five six-foot diameter fibre spools, for the same term. Vianet told the town that they could install the WiFi within 21 days of the order pending the availability of the materials needed.
