Threats and vandalism at Muskoka area beaches have not been felt in Parry Sound. Nails, sewing needles, and broken glass were found at beaches in Bracebridge, causing them to close. Parry Sound Mayor Jamie McGarvey says it’s terrible that these acts are happening.
McGarvey says there have been no threats locally.
McGarvey says he will be speaking with staff about the threats on beaches. A group calling itself The Islamic Revolutionary Force claimed responsibility for the vandalism. The OPP are investigating.
