Almaguin Highlands OPP is investigating a couple of thefts from the last week. Officers were called on Wednesday about a theft of two chainsaws from a Kearney property on Highway 518 East sometime between 1:30pm and 2:30pm the previous day. The chainsaws are valued at about $1000. Police were also called to a property on South Horn Lake Road about the theft of a homemade ATV plow and trailer sometime between Saturday and Sunday. The plow is described as three and a half feet long and red in colour while the trailer is described as green with 14 inch duster winter tires on chrome rims and the value of the missing items is about $1000. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or to call Crime Stoppers.
