Parry Sound firefighters are getting new equipment.
Parry Sound Council this week approved the spending of just under $195,000 to purchase 18 new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and 36 additional air bottles and ancillary equipment.
Parry Sound Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Services, Dave Thompson explained that the purchase was necessary as law mandates equipment be replaced every 15 years.
