After thanking Parry Sound Council for the Town’s financial donation towards their project, the “Sound Splashpad” Committee made a further request of Council Tuesday night.
In a written deposition to Council, the committee requested that the Town designate a site for the proposed Splashpad in order for them to begin the process of project design and infrastructure as well as continuing their ongoing fundraising efforts.
The Committee’s preferred site is Waubano Beach.
After much discussion about the request, Council decided to postpone a decision until after a June meeting of the Pool Advisory Committee as they were concerned about going forward on two fronts at the same time.
